Basic Swing Method Free-Release; Frank Drollinger

  1. Set up in balance
  2. Start the back swing with the right hip, try to fix the point of gravitation, slow down the tempo, strecht the left arm
  3. Rotation hip and arms until shoulder are 90 degree , basic axis ist he neutral axis
  4. Downswing starts together with the right toe to speed up the hips, also rotation with the arms
  5. Weight transfer short bevor impact through the ball
  6. Active leg work
  7. Swing through until finish

I recomend to use the Turning Shoe for to transfer the stress out of the body; all other shoes makes the swing unphysiological

The questions is how?

the answer is with acitve leg work.

To act active legwork the body weight during Balance 1 has to be in balance to both legth.

Stress because of Torsion

What do golf students want?

Today we had a strategy meeting. I said  ”who cares about the needs of the students?”. What are the needs of “Golf – Students” whens they spend money for lessons? I said they want to improve their game. This is the reason why they spend money. The Pro takes the money but he do not guarantee anything. He is like a doctor. You have to pay him but he is not able to gurantee any heeling.

Balance – where?

You can read it in every Golf Magazine: Balance is one of the most important things during the golf-swing-motion.

I ask allway – where. Or when? No answer. A Golf Swing needs nearly 1,7 seconds – but nobody is able to tell me at wich part of this time sequenze they have with the “Ben Hogan Basic  Model” Balance.

So it is my duty to optimize this situation. I share the timesequenze in two parts : Set up, Back swing until impact i call this Balance 1; after impact to finish positioin i call this Balance 2. I figured out – i use preasure measure plates – that the Free-Release-Method has a measured balance during the B1 – the BEN-Method not. But this sequenze is very important for a repeatable impact quality and a good energy transfer.

All ways lead to Rom. All methods leads to the Free-Release-Method .
